The Big Picture
Have you seriously considered the 'big picture'? Our children are going to have, at a minimum, thirteen years of schooling, from kindergarten through high school. If you add pre-school and college it can add up to twenty plus years of schooling.
When you take your child's schooling seriously, as a long-term commitment, your child, your family and your school benefit in powerful ways, ways that schools and families with short-term commitments cannot fathom. Research has shown dedicated and focused families create optimum schools and situations, which in turn nurture children in the best possible ways.
On an academic level, Montessori provides students with skills that allow them to become independently functioning adults and life-long learners. As students master one level of academic skills, they are able to go further and apply themselves to increasingly challenging materials across various academic disciplines. They learn how to integrate new concepts, analyze data and think critically.
