Mr. Aguilar

I earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Drafting from Texas State Technical College, Harlingen, Texas. I earned a Bachelor’s in Applied Technologies in Workforce Leadership and Training from The University of Texas at Brownsville, TX. I earned my Masters of Education in Educational Technology from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley.  I worked at Middle School at Brownsville ISD as an administrative assistant for almost five years, where I gained leadership, budget, teaching and professional development skills.

I am in my tenth year of working at East Fort Worth Montessori Academy as a Technology Applications/Computer Science teacher and a Robotics coach at a campus that has elementary students from Pre-Kinder to 5th grade. I am making positive changes in student's education, to better equip them for the future. I teach computer science and principles of coding, robotics and using technology to make a difference.

I am an active Edcamper and like sharing and networking with other educators in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as a facilitator for coding, gamification, digital portfolios using Seesaw, Coding with Scratch Jr, Scratch, CodeMonkey, Bitsbox, OsmoCoding, LEGO Education, Sphero EDU and Minecraft Education.
