EC-6 Generalist Teachers
Interested candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or higher Valid Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate to assignment Rated Highly Qualified under NCLB Standards General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Specific knowledge of subject assigned. New graduates and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
Minimum qualifications: Valid Texas EC - 6 Generalist certificate with ESL, and possess basic technology skills. Those who do not have a Montessori Certification must enroll in the Montessori Teaching Program once employed by EFWMA. Will consider alternative certification candidates who have passed the appropriate content area TExES test(s).
Hall Monitor / Aide
The Hall Monitor and Aide will assist with the new cleaning guidelines for COVID19 and ensuring the safety of all students and staff. They will greet students upon arrival to the school, clean restrooms after student uses, escort students to breakfast or lunch, assist with student arrival and dismissal and stay with the students for late pick-up. Our Hall Monitor / Aide will maintain the neatness of the campus by keeping all areas sanitized. They assist in the dining hall with serving breakfast and lunch. They help maintain the outdoor learning centers by keeping centers stocked with supplies and cleaned. Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment to promote the positive development of children during COVID19.
Paraprofessionals are working towards a teaching degree or have a bachelor's degree and will be involved in direct instruction with the homeroom teachers to continue the curriculum and guidelines set forth by the teacher while providing social distancing and learning in the classroom. They will work with individual students and group situations to assist in the continued learning of students during the social distancing guidelines.
Teacher assistants serving in EFWMA schools in an instructional capacity must have an associate's degree or two years (48 semester hours) of study at an institute of higher education. For teacher assistants who do not have an associate's degree or two years of study at an institution of higher education or may not be interested in pursuing either of these options, there are other assessment options, which include various combinations of staff development, community college course work, and passage of written test(s).
