SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENTEFWMA provides special education services to students grades Pre-K to 5th grade who have special learning needs in both the regular and special education settings. Our mission is to ensure that each student is provided with the necessary aids and services to become life-long learners.
Under the Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), students who have an educational need or a disability must meet eligibility criteria for special education services. The referral process for special education will begin with our Student Success Team (SST) and requires parental consent prior to any assessments or evaluations.
The most important aspect of special education and developing an appropriate education program for each student is parent involvement. It is one of the core elements of the success of the student’s educational program. At EFWMA, we value our parents' input, dedication, and positive attitude in their child’s lives.
