at East Fort Worth Montessori AcademyWe seek to promote learning for all students by providing equitable access to information and the development of literacy skills. The library, together with the media center and the classroom teachers, seeks to be a part of the collaborative learning effort that produces creative students. It has been demonstrated that when classroom, technology and literacy educators work together students achieve higher levels of learning, problem-solving, literacy, reading and informational technology skills.
The library maintains a collection that is designed to assists students with their curricular, informational, and recreational needs. In addition, the library program seeks to develop positive attitudes toward libraries, recreational reading and information sources that will promote the lifelong use of libraries and other resources to help students stay informed in a rapidly changing world.

1. Students are permitted to check out one book per week.
2. Books are due to be returned in seven days when your class returns to the library.
3. Everything has a correct place. Please use your shelf markers to replace books so we can keep the library organized.
Lost books - All lost books must be paid for in full. The cost for each individual book is the cost of replacement.
Damaged books - A fee of $2.50 will be charged to a student who damages a book that can be repaired.
Overdue books - Students will not be allowed to check out any materials until they return overdue items. Overdue books will be considered lost after three weeks.Note - When a student is charged for a lost or damaged book, the student may not check out any materials until the charges are cleared from the account.Updated: 11/29/15_JA.
